Breakfast.
After breakfast, we will go to the Rudaki Museum. Since Penjikent is the birthplace of Rudaki, who is considered by many to be the father of Persian poetry. Before lunch, we will visit the local bazaar and mosque.
Lunch in a traditional house, for lunch you will have the opportunity to taste pilaf prepared according to the Penjikent recipe and you will see a ceremony of presentation in national costumes and national music to the sounds of a national instrument.
Ancient Penjikent is the ruins of an old Sogdian city founded in the 5th century and abandoned in the 8th century by the Arabs. In the excavated ruins you can see the foundations of houses, a citadel with a pair of Zoroastrian fire temples and a city bazaar.
