In the morning, depart from Dushanbe for your transfer to the Yagnob Valley, heading towards Margeb Village. The journey takes you through beautiful landscapes, offering a glimpse of the pristine natural beauty of the region.
• Arrival in Margeb Village:
Upon arrival in Margeb Village, you'll be welcomed by the local villagers and have a chance to explore the village. Take a walk around the area and immerse yourself in the peaceful surroundings, enjoying the fresh air and traditional atmosphere.
• Meet Your Guide & Porters:
Meet your guide and porters, who will be with you throughout the upcoming trek. They will provide you with the necessary information and prepare you for the upcoming adventures in the Yagnob Valley.
• Lunch & Dinner at the Homestay:
Enjoy a traditional lunch at the homestay, where you'll have the opportunity to taste local Tajik dishes. The flavors and hospitality will give you an authentic experience of the region's culture.
• Overnight at the Homestay:
After a day of exploration, settle in for a comfortable night at the **homestay**. Rest and recharge for the upcoming days of trekking and adventure in the heart of the Yagnob Valley.
Day 2. Margheb – Bidev – Shovita

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the homestay before setting off on an exciting trek. Your journey will take you from Margeb to Bidev, a village 22 km away, where you may still hear the ancient Sogdian language spoken by the locals—a rare and fascinating experience.
• Trekking Along the Yagnob River:
The hike will lead you west along the stunning Yagnob River. This part of the trek offers breathtaking views as you follow the winding path through the gorge. The terrain is not technically difficult, making it suitable for most trekkers. Along the way, you'll get to witness the pristine beauty of the valley, with its rugged mountains and the flow of the Yagnob River beside you.
• Arrival in Shovita:
As you reach Shovita, you'll explore the remains of an old mill, offering a glimpse into the region's history. The village itself is tucked away in the heart of the Yagnob Gorge, providing a perfect example of traditional life in the valley.
• Lunch – Picnic:
Enjoy a refreshing picnic lunch amidst the serene beauty of the valley. The peaceful atmosphere and panoramic views will make this an unforgettable meal in nature.
• Dinner at the Camp:
In the evening, settle down at your campsite. Enjoy a warm dinner prepared over a campfire, experiencing the true spirit of adventure in the heart of the Yagnob Valley.
• Overnight: Camping:
Sleep under the stars at your campsite, surrounded by the natural beauty of the valley. The tranquility of the night in such a remote location will leave you with lasting memories of this adventurous day.
Day 3. Shovita- Piskon.

Start your day with a warm and energizing breakfast at the camp, preparing you for another day of exploration and adventure.
• Trekking Along the Yagnob River:
Today’s journey takes you along the picturesque Yagnob River as you continue deeper into the heart of the Yagnob Gorge. The river will accompany you through the lush landscapes of the valley, providing a peaceful and serene atmosphere.
• Arriving at Pscon and Naumetcan:
As you trek, you will reach the settlements of Pscon and Naumetcan, two traditional villages nestled within the valley. These remote communities offer a glimpse into the region’s unique way of life, where the people maintain their customs and culture in a secluded setting.
• Hike to Pskan:
From here, the trek continues to Pskan, a key location in the heart of Yagnob Valley. This area is considered the core zone of a future ethnographical park, which aims to preserve the traditional ways of life and the environment, free from external influence. The trek is a moderate 12 km journey, taking about 5 to 6 hours, and the terrain is not technically challenging, making it accessible for most hikers.
• Lunch – Picnic:
Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch along the way, taking in the beauty of the valley and its tranquil surroundings.
• Dinner at the Homestay:
After completing the hike, head to a local homestay where you can enjoy a traditional Tajik dinner, offering you an authentic taste of local cuisine.
• Overnight at the Homestay:
Rest for the night in the warm and welcoming environment of the homestay, where you can enjoy a peaceful sleep before continuing your journey in the Yagnob Valley.
