Trekking in Yagnob – one of the remotest but unspoiled and beautiful parts of Northern Tajikistan. Yagnobi people, who still kept the ancient language of Sogdiana, inhabited this place, thousands of years ago.

Day 1. Dushanbe

• Upon arrival at the airport, your guide will meet you and transfer to the hotel.

• Later, the city tour includes a visit to the Museum of National Antiquities with exhibits primarily from Tajikistan’s pre-Islamic civilizations: the Greek, Bactrian, Buddhist, Hindu, and Zoroastrian periods.

• The most notable piece in the museum is the largest, fifteen-hundred-year-old reclining Buddha statue.

Day 2. Dushanbe – Iskanderkul

• After breakfast, we start driving along the spectacular landscapes.
• We reach the Iskanderkul area and visit the highlights:
• Iskanderkul Lake
• Waterfall
• Snake Lake
• 5 Springs (2 hours)
• Accommodation in a home stay in Saratoga (7 km from Iskanderkul).
• Free time to discover the village.

Day 3. Iskanderkul – Margeb

• We drive down from Iskanderkul and have a great view of the area.
• In Margeb or Bedef, we meet the local team of the trekking crew: people with donkeys and camping equipment.
• We stay overnight in Margeb or Bedef village.

Day 4. Margeb – Bedef

• Together with our guide and trekking crew, we hike towards the first Yagnob village (Bedef), which requires at least four hours of walking.
• Camping in the meadow near the village orchards.

• This day starts with an easy walk along the Yagnob River, taking the clear path.
• We pass by three other villages and cross a few bridges.

Day 6. Pskan – Qiansi

• This day we will have the opportunity to acquaint ourselves with the indigenous people in Pskan and other surrounding villages.
• We continue the journey after lunch.
• Camping near the Qiansi village.

Day 7. Qiansi – foot of Honi pass 3665m

• The path widens and moves away from the river, with a few hops across side streams.
• The incline remains gradual.
• Pass the aylaq and a river at a widened area.
• Take the clear path towards the Honi Pass (3,664m).
• Camp at the foot of the pass.

Day 8. Foot of the pass 2780m – via Honi pass 3664m - Rufigar

• Following the zigzag of the path, we hike up to the pass.
• The pass is initially an ascent but then levels out.
• We keep one more day here in case of unforeseen situations or if the clients just want to have a rest day during the trek.
• After the settlement, you reach a downhill track leading to Rufigar – a remote settlement.
• Enjoy a well-earned dinner and bed.

Day 9. Rufigar – Romit valley – Dushanbe

• After breakfast at the guesthouse in Rufigar, we load the luggage and start our journey towards Dushanbe.
• Arrive in Dushanbe and transfer to the hotel.
