The Wakhan Corridor is a narrow strip of land in Eastern Afghanistan, in the Wakhan region of Badakhshan province. is a harsh, elevated area about 295 kilometers long and ranging from 15 to 57 kilometers in the valleys of the Pamir, Vakhan and Pyanj rivers.
