Day 1. Khujand (or Penjikent) - Dushanbe

Day 1. Khujand (or Penjikent) - Dushanbe

- We meet at the border and head directly to Dushanbe (5-6 hours). Check in at the hotel. After lunch, we will go on a city tour to visit the most popular attractions:
- National Museum: Features several fascinating collections, including frescoes from Old Penjikent and unique works of art by Tajik artists.
- Rudaki Park: The most beautiful park in Dushanbe, located near the National Museum, with tree-lined paths leading to various attractions, including the Palace of Nations and the world’s second-highest flagpole.
- Museum of Antiquities: Houses the remains of the Princess of Sarazm and an impressive collection of ancient artifacts.
- Mehrgon Bazaar: A large market in the north of the city where you can buy everything from freshly sliced carrots to stuffed dried dates.
- Ayni Opera and Ballet Theater: You can catch performances in a grand theater at an unbeatable price of $2 per ticket. Check for any interesting programs!
- Botanical Garden: Just a short walk from Café "Chatr", this expansive garden is a popular spot for couples and families to enjoy their weekends.
