Tour in brief

This tour starts in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. On the morning of the second day of the tour, you will be picked up from your hotel, and we will head towards the Pamir Mountains. The starting point of the trek is the village of Barchidev, which is the last village on the way to Sarez Lake. Your luggage will be loaded onto a donkey. There is also a boat at the lake, but we will need to rent it. On it, you can explore other parts of Sarez Lake. After enjoying the lake's beauty, we will return to Barchidev and then travel to Khorog and back to Dushanbe.

- Road trip to Kalaikhumb via Kulob.
- After 1 hour, we will see the beautiful Nurek Lake.
- Visit the local market.
- Lunch in Kulob.
- After 1.5 hours of driving, we will reach the Afghan border and drive along the border between the high mountains.
- Overnight in Kalaikhumb.

Day 3. Trip to Barchidev

- Road trip to the village of Barchidev – the starting point of the trek.
- We will stay either in tents or guesthouses. The Bartang Valley has preserved ancient traditions, customs, and more. It is one of the most beautiful valleys of the Pamir.

Day 4. Trekking to Sarez Lake

Day 4. Trekking to Sarez Lake

- Trekking to Sarez Lake. Your luggage will be carried by a donkey with its kind owner. The trek takes 6-8 hours. You need to be in good physical condition because we will be constantly ascending. When we reach our destination, looking back, you will see all the mountains below you.
- We set up our tents and enjoy the view, counting the beautiful stars that seem so close you could almost touch them.

Day 5. Hiking around Sarez Lake

Day 5. Hiking around Sarez Lake

- You will stop at the Sarez Lake dam and enjoy the sunrise, incredible landscapes, watch fish splashing, take a boat ride, and hike into the mountains.
- If desired, you can also fish.

Day 6. Return to Barchidev

- We return to Barchidev. From the top of a beautiful mountain, you can feel like you're on top of the world and forget about everything. All the mountain peaks will be below you.
- While descending, it will feel as if you are flying.

Day 7. Trip to Khorog

- We stop in the village of Nisur and listen to the story about the apple tree that bears fruit twice a year.
- Then we head to Khorog, where we will visit the local market, museum, Chorbog Park, and botanical garden.
