The route combines the natural attractions of Tajikistan, the country’s rich history, and its unique culture. During the tour, you will visit the legendary Lake Iskanderkul, the picturesque 7 lakes of the Fann Mountains, the Fann Niagara waterfall, and the ancient settlement of Sarazm, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The journey will conclude with a comfortable transfer to the Panjikent–Samarkand border.

Day 1. Dushanbe City Tour

We will meet you at a pre‑agreed location and begin our acquaintance with Dushanbe by visiting the monument to Ismoil Somoni. Then we will go for a leisurely walk around the capital’s main attractions: the National Library, Rudaki Park, the Parliament building, and the famous Flagpole. After that, we will visit the luxurious Khohi Navruz Palace, explore the Central Mosque during a guided tour, and end the day with a walk through Independence Park, including a visit to the Independence Stele, exhibition halls, and a climb to the 14th‑floor observation deck, which offers a panoramic view of Dushanbe.

Day 2. Dushanbe – Iskanderkul

Day 2. Dushanbe – Iskanderkul

On the second day, we will set off from Dushanbe for one of the most beautiful lakes in Tajikistan - Iskanderkul. The journey will take about 3.5 hours, with stops at some of the most picturesque spots along the way for photos. Upon arrival, the guide will introduce you to the area and explain the rules for visiting the national park. We will then take a walk to the famous Fann Niagara Waterfall, visit Snake Lake, where you will hear local legends, and stop at a viewpoint offering a breathtaking panorama of Lake Iskanderkul.

After the tour, we will have lunch at the Zumrad recreation area (in winter, lunch boxes will be provided), relax, and enjoy the beauty of the turquoise lake. The bravest among us can even take a swim in its crystal-clear waters. Next, we will visit the legendary Bucephalus Cave, associated with Alexander the Great, and take a walk to five mountain springs known for their pure drinking water. In the evening, we will head to the picturesque village of Sarytag, where we will spend the night in a cozy guesthouse.

Day 3. Iskanderkul - Panjakent - 7 lakes

Day 3. Iskanderkul - Panjakent - 7 lakes

On the final day of the journey, we will head to the famous 7 lakes of the Fann Mountains - one of the most picturesque places in Tajikistan. The journey will take about 4 hours. We will visit six lakes by car, and for the seventh one we will take a short, easy hike lasting about 30 minutes. Along the way, there will be plenty of time for rest, photo sessions, and enjoying the incredible mountain landscapes. After the hike, we will have lunch with a view of the mountains.

Then we will head to Panjikent, where we will visit the ancient settlement of Sarazm - a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the oldest settlements in Central Asia. After the tour, you will be provided with a comfortable transfer to the Jartepa checkpoint on the border between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan for the next part of the journey to Samarkand.
