This name was invented based on the fact that the highlight of the route is a visit to the ancient settlement of Samarkandak, located at an altitude of 4200 meters, where silver mining was carried out. Founded in the XI century, according to archaeologists, over 1,500 people lived in this settlement. The city disappeared for unknown reasons after 100 years of existence.
